Chicken Kasha

Everybody loves chicken. You can this in your kitchen. It is so simple & ingredients are always available in your house.

Chicken Kasha



Ingredients
  • Chicken ( 1 kg)
  • Hung Curd ( 1/2 cup)
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste (1 tbsp each)
  • Turmeric  Powder  (1 tsp)
  • Cumin Powder  (1 tsp)
  • Red Chili Powder (1 tsp)
  • Onion ( 2 large size, chopped finely)
  • Tomato (1 large, chopped finely)
  • Salt 
  • Sugar
  • Garam Masala Powder ( 1/2 tsp)
  • Mustard Oil ( 1/2 cup)
  • Bay Leaves (1 to 2 large size)
  • Cloves (4 to 5)
  • Green Cardamom (3 to 4)
  • Cinnamon Stick (1inch)
  • Few Methi Seeds                       


Instructions

  1. At first wash the chicken and put on a large strainer for 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes take a large bowl and marinate the chicken with hung curd, ginger & garlic paste, Cumin powder, turmeric powder and red Chili powder and keep aside it for 2 to3 hours.
  3. After that heat the oil in a large wok and add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick and methi Seeds and fry till nice fragrance come.
  4. Then add chopped onions and some Salt & Sugar and fry it until it become golden brown.
  5. Then add the marinated Chicken and chopped tomato on low flame and covered it and cook the Chicken till soft. 
  6. If the chicken cooked then higher the flame and fry the Chicken till oil separates from masala.
  7. Then add 1 cups of warm water to it and cook it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. At last remove the wok from the oven and sprinkle some garam masala on it. Serve hot with Roti, Paratha, Luchi Or Pulao.
