Every bengali loves fish and it good for health. Fish curry is very delicious and an easy recipe. Try this and serve it with rice.

- White Fleshed Fish (800 gms)
- Turmeric Powder (1/2 tsp)
- Salt
- Oil
- Coriander Seeds (1 tbsp)
- Cumin Seeds (1 tbsp)
- Ginger (1/2 tsp, finely grated)
- Red Chilli Powder (1/2 tsp)
- Water (1.5 cups)
- Kalonji Seeds (1 tsp)
- Red Chillies (1 to 2 whole)
- Bay Leaf (1)
- Onion (1 large, peeled & cut)
- Green Chillies (3 whole)
Instructions
- At first cut the fish in about 4cm size. Rub turmeric powder and salt to the fish and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium flame and add the fish pieces and fry until golden brown.
- After that make a paste of coriander seeds, cumin, ginger, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and 3 tbsp of water.
- Then add oil in a frying pan and heat it over a medium flame and add kalonji seed, red chillies and bay leaf.
- After few seconds add onion and fry stir and fry on low flame.
- Then add the spice paste and stir & fry them for 1 to 2 minutes and then add the fish in a single layer in a pan with 1 cup of water.
- Now add green chillies over the fish and simmer over a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Then cover the pan and cook the fish for 15 to 20 minutes then serve with rice.
