Palak Paneer

Palak Paneer is a delicious recipe. It’s not difficult to make just try it. It’s taste is too good. Look the recipe below.

Palak Paneer



Ingredients

  • Spinach (1kg)
  • Cottage Cheese (250 gms) [cut cubes& lightly fried till brown in a tsp of   clarified butter]
  • Cumin seed (1 tsp), Bay Leaves (3 to 4), Tomato (3 to 4) & (blanched it in hot water, after that peeled and made a paste) 
  • Ginger (1 inch piece) 
  • Green Chili (2 to 3) 
  • Onions (2 big sizes)
  • Garlic Flakes (7 to 8)  
  • Turmeric Powder (1/2 tsp)
  • Coriander Powder (1/2 tsp)  
  • red chili powder (3/4 tsp) 
  • Garam Masala (3/4 tsp) 
  • Dry Mango Powder (3/4 tsp)
  • Fresh Cream (1 tsp) 
  • Butter (1 tsp) 
  • Oil (3 tsp) 
  • Sugar Granules (pinch of)
  • Salt (1/2 tsp)


Instructions

  1. Remove spinach leaves from stem and wash well.
  2. Take 2 glasses of water in a pan when it starts to boil  add spinach, onions, green chili, garlic & ginger with a pinch of sugar granules. Let it boil for 10 to15 minutes.
  3. Then remove the pan from fire & let the spinach cool down.
  4. Blend the spinach mixer in a blender & make a thick spinach paste.
  5. Heat a heavy bottomed wok, add oil & butter to it, when the oil is hot add cumin seed & bay leaves. When a cumin seed starts to crackle add the tomato paste & cook it for 5 to 6 minutes on medium flame. Then add spinach paste and remaining all spices let it cook for another 5 to 6 minutes.
  6.  Then add the fried pieces of cottage cheese & mix it well. Cook & cover on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Take it out in a serving bowl & add fresh cream for garnish.
  8. Serve hot with tandoori roti or steamed rice.
