- Chicken (500 grms)
- Onion paste (1 cup)
- Ginger & Garlic paste (1 tbsp)
- Yogurt/ Curd (1 cup)
- Red chili Powder (2 tsp)
- Dry Red chili (1 to 2)
- Cashew Paste (1 tbsp)
- Poppy Seeds Paste (1 tbsp)
- White Pepper Powder (1 tsp)
- Sugar (1 tsp)
- Salt
- Bay Leaves ( a pair of to 3)
- Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Mace ( few)
- Nutmeg Powder (a pinch of)
- Oil or drawn butter
- Kewra Water (5 to 6 drops)
Instructions
- Initially step the chicken with 1/2 cup of onion paste, 1 tsp of ginger & garlic paste, 1/2 cup of curd or yoghourt, red chilli powder, salt and a couple of drops of kewra water. combine them well and keep aside for 3 to 4 hours.
- Then heat oil or drawn butter in a large pan and add bay leaves, dry red chili, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, mace and nutmeg powder.
- After few seconds add solely marinated chicken items stir and fry all sides on medium flame fry for 7 to 8 minutes.
- Once chicken items area unit gently deep-fried add marinated spices, curd/yoghurt, cashew paste and poppy seeds paste and cook them on medium flame.
- Then add salt, sugar and white pepper powder and cook till chicken become soft.
- Then add a pair of or three drops of kewra water and combine well on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Then take away it from the kitchen appliance and serve hot with roomali roti, pulao & biryani.
